Welcome to Midlife Uncensored—where the coffee’s strong, the language is colorful, and the truth shows up without Spanx or apologies.

I’m a GenX woman deep in my feral era—equal parts herbalist, death doula, integrative health nerd, grief activist, and comic book–loving author who writes with one hand while flipping off societal expectations with the other. I have an autoimmune disease, menopausal brain, and feet that buzz from neuropathy like they’re trying to tune into late-night radio, but I’m still here, loud and unfiltered.

I’m also a plant-whispering, book-devouring, word enchantress who finds magic in cemeteries and comfort in comic books. Add in a deep love for genealogy, a burning passion for advocacy, and the unshakeable stubbornness of a Scandinavian Midwestern woman raised by wolves (grandmothers who didn’t mess around), and you’ve got me.

I’m a fiercely loving wife and mom with an incredible autistic son who teaches me more about life and love than any textbook ever could. I’ve been a bittersweet member of the Dead Dads Club since 2023, grieving out loud and helping others do the same.

This blog is my sacred, messy space to say what needs to be said. You’ll find plants, ghosts, disco skulls, dark humor, ancestral wisdom, midlife rants, and the kind of truth that makes polite people clutch their pearls.

Let’s burn the rulebook, throw glitter on the ashes, and tell the damn story anyway.
